Risk Classification
The Mutual Fund categories discussed on this page are classified as follows based on SEBI Riskometer guidelines:
Data Universe & Source
Universe Criteria: Regular schemes within the selected category (Large, Mid, or Small Cap) that are older than 3 Years and open for subscription as on 15 December 2025.
Sample Distribution: The analysis covers a comprehensive set of funds across Giant, Mid-Tier, and Small AUM sizes. (Note: Specific fund counts vary by category).
Survivorship Bias: Limiting the universe to currently active schemes inherently excludes schemes that were merged, closed, or wound up due to poor performance. This may bias the sample towards survivors.
Data Sources: Mutual Fund Factsheets, AMC Personnel, NGEN Research.
